BMW M Series stands for “motorsports” and was initially created to host BMW’s racing program. This was successful during the 1960s and 1970s but eventually just turned into BMW’s specially modified vehicles that produced higher trim models. Traditionally, the M Series BMW vehicles carry modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and modifications to the exterior that set them apart from other BMW series models.
